Brazil vs Venezuela Live

The 2011 Copa America group stages continue Sunday, and the No. 5 team Brazil (how is England ranked above them?) takes on Venezuela in the first match of Group B.

Brazil is in rebuilding mode after a disappointing World Cup campaign last summer when they were ousted by eventual runners-up Holland in the quarterfinals.

Mano Menezes has produced good results with his revamped squad since taking over from Dunga last summer, but this is his first real managerial test. These are the first competitive matches Menezes will take charge of, and he better make them count with the 2014 World cup moving ever closer.

For many, Dunga was too defensive-minded, and Brazilians want to see the beautiful, free-flowing, scoring football they have become so accustomed to.

The old stalwarts, Julio Cesar, Lucio and Dani Alves, will be there, but this team is run by youngsters like David Luiz, following his impressive half-season showing with Chelsea, his club teammate Ramires, Liverpool's Lucas Leiva and most important of all, the 19-year-old Neymar.

All eyes will be on Brazil's wonder-striker Neymar this tournament, most intently the eyes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City and the rest of Europe's top clubs.

Neymar will be the center piece for every Brazlian attack, and he has a good chance to be the tournament's top scorer when all is said and done.

Like every tournament Brazil is involved in, it's win it all or bust.

A win over Venezuela should be the perfect start to their quest. Venezuela, No. 68, finished sixth in 2007, fifth in 1967 and didn't make it out of the first round in between.

They have a young, unproven team that will just be looking to surprise some people. That won't start Sunday against Brazil.

Despite the relative inexperience on both sides, Brazil's talent will overwhelm its opponents, and it will do one better than their hosts and old foes, Argentina, who could only manage a 1-1 draw in their opening match against Bolivia.
