After failing to qualify into the Quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, AC Milan focus again on the Italian Championship. Massimo Allegri's side have currently 62 points, five points clear of their city rivals Inter Milan in the battle for The Scudetto.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss this game against Palermo and the next two (including the match against Inter). The Swede earned a straight red card and three-game ban in Milan's 1-1 home draw with bottom club Bari last week after slapping Marco Rossi in the ribs. Palermo, meanwhile, have lost five matches in a row to slip down to ninth on the table with 40 points from 29 matches and are nine points off the final Europa League slot.
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini said his side have received a £43 million bid for Javier Pastore, but he was reluctant to disclose who had made the bid as both Real Madrid and Barcelona continue to be linked with the star attacker.
