Arsenal qualified into the Last 16 as second of Group H behind Shakthar Donetsk while Barcelona progressed to the first knockout stages of the Champions League after win their Group D, surpassing to Copenhague.

For this match, Arsenal's full right-back Bacary Sagna will miss out due to suspension. Eboue will be his replacement. Samir Nasri is welcome after recovering from a hamstring injury. Abou Diaby will be sidelined due to a sore calf. Barcelona's defender Carlos Puyol is out due to injury but Andres Iniesta is available. Lionel Messi is also ready to start.
