Birmingham beat West Ham 3-1 in extra time for the second leg of the Carling Cup's Semi final on 26 January 2011 and progress to the Final. Blues knock out The Hammers 4-3 on aggregate in the semifinals of the 2010/2011 Carling Cup. Birmingham vs West Ham was played at St Andrews Stadium.

West Ham went ahead through Carlton Cole, who scored in the 31th minute. Birmingham's Lee Bowyer leveled in the 59th minute. Roger Johnson scored in the 79th minute. The tie was matched and we had 30 additional minutes. In extra time, Craig Gardner gave the victory to Blues and the ticket to the Final.
